There is an RV on the market that is just right for you no matter what camper you are in.

At the recent RV Experience (RVX) reveal in Salt Lake City, Utah, a group of judges selected the best RVs and trailers for nine different mobile lifestyles, including the Outdoor Adventurer.

There are durable adventure campers that can go off-road and off-the-grid.

Their space to store bikes, kayaks, fishing equipment, surfboards, and other gear was deemed the best in class.

The Best RVs For Outdoor Adventure

Airstream Basecamp

The new Basecamp was one of the most popular choices at the RVX reveal. The mini silver bullet is 16 feet long and is light enough to be towed by most SUVs.

The Basecamp has 126 inches of cargo depth space from the back hatch up to the cabinets in the galley.

There is enough room for kayaks, bikes, and fishing equipment at this location. There are two benches in the back of the camper that has enough seating for five people.

Hidden storage space can be found underneath the benches that flip up. They can be converted into a comfortable full bed for two when it’s time to sleep.

The kitchen is the front of the trailer has a large panoramic window so you can cook with a view. There is a sink, fridge, and optional microwave in this space.

Extra counter space is provided by the fold-down glass cover on the sink and cooktop. The standard features of the Basecamp include a wet bath.

The bathroom and shower stall in the small space has a porcelain toilet and handheld showerhead.

There is a pass-through port that you can use to rinse gear off outside.

Those tackling rough roads can upgrade to the Basecamp X package, which has all-terrain tires and added ground clearance.

SylvanSport VAST

The most popular pick in the Adventurer category was the SylvanSport VAST. The innovative design of the new travel trailer earned it the attention it deserved.

One of the queen-size beds can be stowed out of the way, and it lowers from the ceiling. The lounge cushions are required to set up the second bed.

The modular lounge is built on a track and can slide forward to open up space for gear.

The exterior has rails to hold kayaks and a compartment for storing propane tanks, batteries, and more.

It’s easy to load gear with the large tailgate opening.

The VAST has an all-season kitchen with a 2-burner gas stove, a portable fridge and freezer, and an integrated sink and storage.

The whole kitchen unit can be used to cook indoors or outdoors.

No Boundaries by Forest River RV

One of Forest River RV’s most rugged campers is called the No Boundaries line.

The trailers are light enough to be hauled by smaller tow vehicles and range in length from 12 feet up to 25 feet.

A large entry ramp for a full-sized quad or dirtbike is an optional accessory for the NOBO 10. There is an optional rooftop tent that can be included to sleep two or three people.

Depending on your needs and towing capabilities, there are several different floorplans and features to choose from.

A queen-size bed and pantry storage can be found in most of the NOBO trailers. There are also showers and bunk beds in some of them.

The NOBO 10 trailers have an optional batwing awning that can be used for sun coverage.

The shade is provided by the 12 to 16-foot awnings for the 16 Series and above. Their package also includes a kayak holder and other things.

Taxa Cricket

Taxa have a Cricket camper that is a little bigger than their Tigermoth. It is relatively lightweight at 1450 lbs. and is very easy to tow.

In boats, the V-berth bed is used to sleep two adults and has built-in storage underneath. There are six cubbies in the kitchen with a large countertop and a covered sink.

The pop-up roof with five additional mesh windows has an optimal airflow between it and the four windows with shades and screens in the interior.

An extra-large window that frames the relaxing views from your campsite is also included.

The Cricket comes pre-wired for solar with Zamp solar inlets, which means it can be powered via the 110V outlet for shore power.

The camper has a battery that can last for up to three days at a time. Modifications like a fridge, furnace, and portable toilet can be made to the trailers by the owners.

Tigermoth

Two of the judges were given to Taxa Outdoors Choices for their versatile Tigermoth and Cricket trailers.

The Tigermoth can be towed by most cars and SUVs with a dry weight of fewer than 900 lbs. The Tigermoth is 12 feet tall and can dry camp for a week straight.

There is an integrated electrical system with lights, 12V outlets, water, and optional solar panels.

Two adults can sleep in the interior and two kids can be accommodated in the rooftop tent.

A large cutting board, cubbies, and an optional propane stove can be found in the exterior pull-out kitchen.

There is an optional portable toilet, shower tent, and mesh screen door available as well. The cargo deck of the Tigermoth trailer has a 300-lb capacity, and it has a roof rack.

It is easy to load and unload the trailer through the large side hatch door. The Tigermoth trailer is made of 15-inch tires and has 12 inches of ground clearance.
